Ladle refining furnace is a device that combines the heating and refining functions of a steelmaking furnace. Functions of Ladle Refining Furnace
1. Make the molten steel warm and heat preservation function.
The molten steel obtains new heat energy by arc heating, which not only can supplement the alloy and adjust the composition during the refining of the ladle, but also can add slag to facilitate deep desulfurization and deoxidation of the molten steel. Moreover, the molten steel pouring temperature required for continuous casting is ensured, which is advantageous for improving the quality of the dry cast slab.
2. Argon stirring function.
The argon gas is blown into the molten steel through the permeable bricks installed at the bottom of the ladle, and the molten steel obtains a certain stirring function.
3. Vacuum degassing function.
After the steel bag is hoisted into the vacuum tank, the steam blasting pump is used for vacuum degassing, and the liquefied gas is blown through the bottom of the bag to agitate the molten steel, thereby removing the hydrogen content and the nitrogen content in the molten steel, and further reducing the oxygen content and the sulfur content. The result is a higher purity steel solution and superior material properties.
